Aaron Phypers has issued a plea to Denise Richards’ family and friends, calling for immediate intervention as—according to him—the actress needs help. A few days ago, Richards accused him of domestic violence, specifically claiming that “he tried to kill her.”

“This is the hardest letter I’ve ever written. I just regained access to some of my contacts after several days without a phone since July 4,” read a message—confirmed by Us Weekly—that was sent via email and text to family members and close friends of the former couple on Sunday, July 20. “This is a desperate cry for help on behalf of someone I love,” said a source close to the former couple.

In his letter, Phypers emphasizes:
“I come to you not with anger but with a broken heart — as a man, husband, son, brother, and father who spent years loving, supporting, and protecting his family. I love my wife more than words can express. That has never changed. But the recent public accusations against me are not only false — they’re devastating. I have never, ever physically abused my wife or given her a black eye. I’ve only ever intervened to protect her — even separating her from physically attacking our daughter — always out of concern and care.”

Phypers addresses the allegations included in court documents following Richards’ divorce filing on July 7, where she claims she was a victim of domestic abuse.

From her side, Denise Richards described:
“Throughout our relationship, Aaron would often violently choke me, forcefully press my head with both hands, tightly grab my arms, slap me hard in the face and head, smash my head against the bath towel rack, threaten to kill me, pin me down with his knee on my back — to the point I would beg him to stop so he wouldn’t kill me. He also hacked into my laptop and phone and downloaded all my messages. Aaron regularly threatened to break my jaw and then would cry, beg me not to leave him, and promise to get help — none of which ever happened.”

In his letter, Aaron Phypers also responds to those allegations:
“The consequences have gone beyond me. My elderly parents, 83 and 84 years old, and my brother — who have been devoted to caring for our daughter and Denise’s animals, supporting our family unpaid for the past three years — are now being targeted and publicly shamed. They live in unbearable conditions: no hot water, no gas, and no financial support for basic needs. Yet they continue to serve with love and dedication.”

Aaron Phypers also accuses Denise Richards of having an extramarital affair:
“She begged me not to leave, saying it was nothing and that she only loved me. Then she completely denied it — even the explicit messages I found. Despite her promise to end it, more lies and shocking evidence kept surfacing.”

He added that their issues go far beyond typical marital struggles:
“I say this with love, not criticism: Denise needs intervention. Some of you know this has been a problem for over 20 years. She no longer eats regular meals, and I’ve seen her lose consciousness from substances — putting herself and others at risk, even while driving with our daughter.”
