On September 6 and 7, we take off with Athens Flying Week - Tanagra International Airshow - The largest air show in the Eastern Mediterranean returns stronger and more impressive than ever at Tanagra Air Base

Newsroom July 23 11:35

Dozens of fighters, stunt and transport aircraft and at least 15 international entries guarantee an immersive air show for the thousands of Athens Flying Week fans! The event, which has become an institution, will again host the most modern planes and helicopters as well as legends of the past!

Fighters from Greece and abroad

At the forefront of Athens Flying Week 2025, are the French Rafale, with the Rafale SoloDisplay returning to Tanagra with a breathtakingly renewed programme, Poland’s “tiger” – the F-16 Tiger Demo – among the most impressive demonstration aircraft in the world, the German Eurofighter Typhoon of the TaktLwG31 “Boelcke” that will appear for the first time in front of the Greek audience and promises to leave everyone with their mouths hanging open, the impressive Italian Tornado that will also make its debut in Tanagra and the AW139, the Austrian Pilatus PC-7 that will enchant young and old, as well as the PC-9 from Slovenia!

And a last-minute surprise! In Tanagra for the Athens Flying Week 2025, you will find the very impressive Eurofighter Typhoon of the Royal Saudi Arabian Air Force!

Sanctuary of the Royal Air Force of Saudi Arabia will also be in the air in the air of the Saudi Arabian Typhoon of Saudi Arabia.

The Air Force’s Demo Teams could not be missing from the biggest aviation celebration, with the F-16 ZEUS and the T-6 Daedalus sharing thrills and adrenaline! Along with them, the F-16 Viper, the Rafale, the Mirage 2000-5, the brand new M-346, and the legendary F-4 Phantom that are the “holy grail” of aviation enthusiasts everywhere!

Along with the dream team of the Air Force, all the flying assets of the Greek Armed Forces will take part in Athens Flying Week 2025 in formations and complex scenarios with the participation of Special Operations units of the Hellenic Air Force!

Digs of the Atriums

The Athens Flying Week takes you on a journey through time and apart from modern fighter aircraft, it also hosts legendary Warbirds such as the Supermarine Spitfire MJ755 and the T6 Harvard that were restored to flying condition with the donation of the “Ikaros” Foundation and after decades, they return to the Greek skies again!

And of course, the biggest celebration of aviation could not miss the political participants, such as the Greek public’s favourite Luca Bertossio, the amazing Frank Van Houten aka Dutch Rush with his Sukhoi 26MX and the French champion Melanie Astles, the first female pilot to participate in the famous Red Bull Air Race!

In addition to the impressive aerial displays, Athens Flying Week features a static exhibition of all the planes and helicopters participating in the Airshow, including the beastly A400 transport plane of the German Air Force, which you can visit and have your photo taken with them! And don’t forget to visit the trade show with souvenirs and memorabilia from the Air Force and all the participants, as well as the aviation schools from which you can learn about careers in combat, general or civil aviation!

We thank once again, the Ministry of National Defence and the General Staff (HQs (Hellenic Defence Forces, General Staff, General Staff, General Staff, General Staff) for their unconditional support!
