GPO poll: ND at 28.7%, PASOK second with 14%, and Plefsi Eleftherias third with 13.1%

Political fatigue, institutional disappointment, and mixed reactions to government actions are reflected in the latest GPO poll for Parapolitika, conducted between July 21–23, 2025

Newsroom July 26 11:34

Specifically, the OPEKEPE scandal — concerning opaque procedures in the management of agricultural subsidies — is seen as very important by 93.2% of respondents. This widespread recognition of the issue’s seriousness indicates a high public sensitivity to corruption and provokes anger and disappointment among the vast majority of citizens.

The government’s handling is rated negatively by 74.5% of respondents, and a similar percentage (74%) say their trust in the government has been shaken. At the same time, PASOK’s stance on the issue is also viewed negatively by 69.1%, suggesting a cross-party loss of trust. For 72.8% of the public, this is seen not as an isolated case, but as a longstanding systemic scandal involving the entire political system.

Political standings

The ruling party ND (New Democracy) is losing ground, with a 3-point drop in voter intention — from 26% in June to 23%. However, this drop has not been capitalized on by opposition parties, which are also seeing declines:

  • PASOK fell from 12.7% to 11.2%
  • Plefsi Eleftherias (Freedom Sailing) from 12.5% to 10.5%

Meanwhile:

  • Greek Solution holds steady at 9.4%
  • KKE (Communist Party) at 7.2%
  • SYRIZA at 5%
  • The percentage of undecided voters has grown significantly from 12.1% to 17.7%, showing a gap in political representation for a large part of the electorate.

Voter estimate (adjusted for valid votes):

  • ND: 28.7%
  • PASOK: 14%
  • Plefsi Eleftherias: 13.1%
  • Greek Solution: 11.8%
  • KKE: 9%
  • SYRIZA: 6.3%
  • Voice of Logic: 3.6%
  • Democracy Movement: 3%
  • Niki: 2.4%
  • New Left: 1.8%
