Lena Samaras, daughter of former Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, died suddenly at the age of 34 after suffering a cardiac arrest.

She reportedly experienced a sudden epileptic episode and was initially transferred to Sismanoglio Hospital, but due to the seriousness of her condition, she was moved to Evangelismos Hospital. Despite doctors’ efforts, she passed away. According to initial reports, following the seizure, she suffered a cardiac arrest.

Lena Samaras graduated in 2008 from Athens College and went on to study civil engineering in London, following in her mother’s professional footsteps.

Named after her grandmother, Eleni (Lena) Zanna, and great-great-granddaughter of renowned Greek writer Penelope Delta, Lena was a member of a prominent Greek family.
