Visit to the Hellenic Museum and Museum Education Workshops

The program, titled “Learning Through Exhibits – History and Arts for Children”, invites participants to become young researchers and explorers

Newsroom September 4 07:32

The Greek Community of Melbourne Schools continue to offer high-quality educational experiences and to strengthen children’s Greek language learning, even during the school holiday period.

On Wednesday 24 September, during the first week of the holidays, students will have the opportunity to visit the Hellenic Museum of Melbourne, where they will tour the historic building, explore the exhibits, and create their own original artworks.

This will be followed by two specially designed museum education workshops for children aged 5–10 years, to be held on Monday 29 September in Huntingdale and Thursday 2 October in Balwyn North.

The program, titled “Learning Through Exhibits – History and Arts for Children”, invites participants to become young researchers and explorers. Through interactive games inspired by the museum’s exhibits, children will discover important moments of Greek history and explore key principles of painting and sculpture. At the same time, they will cultivate creativity, observation skills, and a love of learning, while actively strengthening their use of the Greek language.
