Israel levels one of Gaza City’s tallest buildings (video)

Several injured civilians were taken to al-Shifa hospital for medical treatment – IDF say the building was used by Hamas

Newsroom September 5 08:06

The Israeli army announced that it struck a high-rise building allegedly used by the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas in Gaza City, after Israel said it was preparing to take control of the city.

“Inside the building, Hamas had set up infrastructure in order to prepare and launch attacks against Israeli army soldiers in the area,” according to the military’s statement.

Before the strike, “precautionary measures were taken in order to limit harm to civilians, including prior warnings to the population, the use of precision munitions, aerial surveillance, and intelligence gathering,” the statement added.
