“You have no idea what forces you unleashed across the country”: The speech of Charlie Kirk’s widow in her first public intervention (videos)

“No one will forget my husband’s name, and I will make sure of that,” said the emotional wife of the conservative activist – The White House released a video in memory of Kirk

Newsroom September 13 09:25

Erika Kirk’s first public intervention after the assassination of her husband by Tyler Robinson during an event at the University of Utah on Wednesday was marked by emotion but also strong political content.

Speaking to the audience of Turning Point USA, Erika Kirk declared that she would continue her husband’s mission and urged young people to participate actively, while also calling them to return to the Christian faith.

“No one will ever forget my husband’s name. And I will make sure of that,” she said in a speech that Turning Point USA presented as a “national address.” She also spoke to those she considers responsible for Charlie Kirk’s murder, stressing:

“If you thought his mission was powerful until now, you cannot imagine the forces you have just unleashed in this country and throughout the world.”

“You don’t realize the flame you ignited inside me. The cries of this widow will echo across the world like a war cry. The movement my husband built will not be extinguished,” she said. “I know my husband is still here. He is watching over us,” she added at another point in her speech.

“His wisdom will remain alive”

Erika Kirk announced that the university tour Charlie had planned, as well as the December conference, will go ahead as scheduled. The same will apply to his radio and online shows. “His wisdom will remain alive,” she added.

She also addressed young people directly, urging them to join Turning Point USA chapters across the country. “And if there isn’t one in your area, start one,” she added.

At the same time, she called on young people to return to the Christian faith and join “a church that remains faithful to the Bible.”

The White House releases video honoring Charlie Kirk

On Friday evening, the White House released an emotional tribute video in memory of the late conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, including clips of the 31-year-old reciting passages from the Bible and speaking at events.

“In loving memory of Charlie Kirk, a fearless patriot and man of unwavering faith who dedicated his life to America,” read the official White House account on platform X.
