Israel: We have capabilities in the heart of Tehran that we have not yet exploited, Mossad chief says

"Mossad has very strong operational capabilities, even more imaginative and powerful than before, Barnea stressed, in the presence of Netanyahu

Newsroom September 18 04:03

Israel has capabilities inside Tehran that have yet to be used, Mossad Director David Barnea said last night, according to the Israeli prime minister’s office.

“We have won and we will continue to win,” Barnea said, speaking at the ceremony for the Prime Minister’s Award, presented this year to the spy agency.

“Although we have proven that Iran is vulnerable, we will not relax,” Barnea continued. “Mossad has very strong operational capabilities, even more imaginative and powerful than before – especially inside Iran and even in the heart of Tehran.”

“We will continue to build and strengthen our capabilities in Iran, to monitor from the inside what is happening behind closed doors, and we will not allow ideas to develop that could jeopardize our security,” he promised.

The event, which was attended by Benjamin Netanyahu, was held on the anniversary of Operation Beeper, in which Israel blew up thousands of bombs held by Hezbollah members.
