A man swam more than 13 hours, covering a distance of 41 kilometres, from Nei Poros to Beach Katerini, wanting in this way to highlight the tourist Pieria and to raise awareness about safety on the coast.

The reason for the coach swimming of the Katerini Swimming Club “Poseidon – Swimming”, Giorgos Papadopoulos, swam against the waves for a total of 810 minutes, which highlighted the natural beauty of the region, but also the continuous lifeguard coverage and safety that the beaches of Pieria have.
