Konstantopoulou raging at the Conference of Presidents – She raised her phone to record Bakoyannis, insulted Gerovasili

The leader of Course of Freedom, Zoe Konstantopoulou, erupted in anger when discussion began about introducing a “time limiter” on the microphones of the Parliament’s Plenary Hall

Newsroom October 23 06:35

Chaos broke out in the meeting room of the Conference of Presidents of the Hellenic Parliament, as Ms. Konstantopoulou launched a fierce attack against everyone over the decision to impose a “time limiter” on the microphones in the Plenary.

The situation spiraled out of control when, according to members of the Conference, the Course of Freedom leader deemed it appropriate to raise her mobile phone in order to film or photograph Ms. Dora Bakoyannis.

Specifically, Ms. Konstantopoulou attacked the New Democracy MP and former minister, leveling serious accusations against her regarding the Siemens case, as well as a car accident caused by a vehicle of her security detail, among other things. At that point, Ms. Bakoyannis turned her chair toward her and stared, prompting Ms. Konstantopoulou to lift her phone and record her.

The incident was noticed by SYRIZA MP and Parliament Vice President Olga Gerovasili, who protested strongly.

“This is unacceptable! What is this behavior? This is an attack. Are we taking photos inside the Conference?” she reportedly said, which led her to become a target herself of the Course of Freedom leader’s wrath.

“You’re just like them — you cover for them!” Konstantopoulou snapped, extending her criticism to the opposition as a whole, claiming they were “whitewashing” the government.

According to the same sources, Ms. Bakoyannis called Ms. Konstantopoulou “hysterical.”
