A message of life for the World Diabetes Day – Watch the video with the story of Vassilis Tsiatsiamis

Video tells the story of a young man diagnosed with diabetes in his teens

Newsroom November 14 12:08

On the occasion of World Diabetes Day (14 November), Vassilis Tsiatssiamis, who has been living with diabetes for the last 25 years and is an active member of the Greek diabetic community with a constant presence on the internet, presents “a moving and optimistic message of life with him as the protagonist”.

The video tells the story of a young man who was diagnosed with diabetes in his teens and faced the need to relearn life all over again with discipline, knowledge, and belief in himself. Through calm images, honesty, and truthful words, Basil describes how the disease became part of his daily life, but without defining him.

“Diabetes is not just numbers and measurements. It’s what you can’t see, but it’s always there.”

The narrative culminates with a message of self-awareness and strength that diabetes is not an identity, but an everyday reality that can be dealt with knowledge, balance, and a positive attitude.

“I am not my diabetes. I am the one who keeps going, who tries, who lives.”
