Partizan: Obradović’s resignation not accepted

The board of the black-and-whites from Belgrade, after an emergency meeting, decided not to accept the resignation of the experienced coach, asking him to continue his work

Newsroom November 27 04:22

The Obradović saga takes a new twist as what was the main topic of discussion on Wednesday night — who would take over the Partizan bench following the resignation — has now changed. The management of the “Grobari” announced they will do everything possible to keep Željko Obradović in the “house.”

At the emergency board meeting held this morning, which lasted quite some time, the unanimous decision was to reject the resignation of the legendary coach. They requested him to withdraw his resignation and return to his duties as head coach.

Here is the official statement from Partizan in detail:
On Thursday, November 27, the Partizan board convened an emergency meeting to address the situation following the irrevocable resignation of Željko Obradović from the position of head coach of the first team.

In the emergency session, and according to the proposal of president Ostoja Mijailović, the board unanimously decided not to accept Obradović’s resignation, expressing full support for him. The administration’s desire is for him to remain in charge and take the necessary steps to improve the team’s results.
