A 28-year-old foreign national was arrested on the evening of Monday, 2 February, in the Glyfada area for possession and trafficking of drugs.
According to the Hellenic Police (EL.AS.), officers, while conducting a patrol, stopped the 28-year-old for a check as he was traveling in a vehicle in the area. During a thorough search, carefully concealed quantities of narcotics were discovered in the vehicle’s air vent and were subsequently confiscated.
Specifically, police found and seized 10 packages containing 8.7 grams of cocaine, 52 packages containing 100 grams of unprocessed cannabis, two mobile phones, and €120 in cash.
A case file was compiled against him by the Glyfada Department for Combating and Investigating Crime for violations of legislation concerning addictive substances. It is noted that the 28-year-old has previously been known to authorities for similar offenses.
The arrested individual was brought before the competent public prosecutor for further proceedings.
