Unsettled Conditions Ahead Greece will experience successive weather changes from Sunday, February 8, to Thursday, February 12, with intermittent showers, local thunderstorms, and snowfall in the mountains, according to meteorologist Theodoros Kolydas.

Sunday, February 8

  • Increasing clouds with rain mainly in the west, eastern Macedonia, Thrace, and the eastern Aegean.
  • Elsewhere: Scattered, weak showers.
  • Temperatures:
    • Western Macedonia: 2–12°C
    • Rest of Macedonia & Thrace: 5–16°C
    • Epirus: 8–16°C
    • Central mainland: 6–19°C
    • Ionian Islands: 11–17°C
    • Aegean & Crete: 11–19°C
  • Winds: Westerly 5–6 Beaufort in the Aegean, Ionian, and mainland; locally 6 Beaufort in Attica.
  • Athens: Morning clouds, possible light rain; partly sunny later. 12–18°C.
  • Thessaloniki: Morning clouds, possible light rain. 8–16°C.

Monday, February 9

  • More instability: Showers and thunderstorms expand to most regions.
  • Snow: Central and northern mountains.
  • Winds: South 3–5 Beaufort; northern Aegean east 6–7 Beaufort.
  • Temperatures: Drop in the west, central, and northern regions (12–19°C).

Tuesday, February 10

  • Unsettled: Local rain and thunderstorms, weakening in the north by afternoon.
  • Snow: Central and northern mountains.
  • Winds: Westerly 3–5 Beaufort; southern seas locally 6 Beaufort; northern Aegean east 5–7 Beaufort.
  • Temperatures: Further drop, especially in the north.

Wednesday, February 11

  • Increasing clouds: Showers and thunderstorms, possibly strong in the west and south.
  • Snow: Northern mountains.
  • Winds: West/southwest 3–7 Beaufort; Aegean south 4–6 Beaufort.
  • Temperatures: Little change.

Thursday, February 12

  • Cloudy: Showers and thunderstorms, possibly strong in the eastern Aegean (morning) and west (evening).
  • Snow: Central and northern mountains.
  • Winds: South 4–7 Beaufort.
  • Temperatures: Rise.

Winds will not cause significant issues, and temperatures will remain within a typical winter range.
